Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Language Teacher to join our team. As an English Language Teacher at Sydney International School, you will play a vital role in shaping the language skills and communication abilities of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing Curriculum: Designing and developing O-Level curriculum plans, lesson materials, and resources that align with educational standards and the needs of students.
• Lesson Planning: Creating engaging and effective O-level lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Adaptation: Modifying O-level curriculum and instructional strategies as needed to meet the specific needs of students, including those with varying skill levels or learning challenges.
• Assessment: Designing O-level assessments to measure student progress, and using the data to adjust the curriculum for improved learning outcomes.
• Incorporating Technology: Integrating technology and digital resources to enhance the teaching and learning process.
• Staying Current: Keeping up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies, educational trends, and advancements in English language instruction.
• Classroom Management: Deliver engaging and effective English language lessons to students of varying proficiency levels. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Teaching certification and accreditation. CIE-trained teachers will have extra preferences.
• Proven 5-6 Years’ experience in teaching English at the O Level or equivalent, with in-depth knowledge of the O Level English curriculum and assessments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
• Candidates living near Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, and Bashundhara will be given preference.
